Happy be-lated Holidays!

The holiday season has been crazy busy this year! It may be a little late, but here is my Christmas card this year...taking it back to Grandmas house.

And of course the super-fun New Years card as well! Happy Holidays all!

My parents house

My parents are selling the old house I grew up in, and I'm going to miss it, even if I'm on the other side of the country. It is an awesome old place in the middle of the woods.

I've been playing in the garden

It's been pretty nice outside, despite a quick hailstorm earlier this week. This little guy is totally getting me pumped for next spring when all the bulbs I've been planting will be blooming. I like him a lot so I may mess around with other little garden animals. We'll see.

I'm neglectful, I'm sorry

Two weddings, a birthday, a beach trip, and a Ren Faire later, I realize I have left you folks woefully stranded! Much apologies.

This year seems to be a big year for major changes, and I hope most of them continue to be positive. In keeping with what seems to be a major theme of 2014, here are a few love birds for you!

They ended up  looking quite like the birds in Rio.

Habit building

Not much to post today, really, but I'm trying to get in the habit of updates. Mostly I've been browsing the Gnomon library while trying to brainstorm for the monthly challenge for the new CGartNexus. As much as I will miss the old ImagineFX forums, I am glad to be joining CGartNexus and getting those creative juices flowing.

I also came across Pinshapes 3D Modeling Challenge for children's toys here: https://pinshape.com/contests/3d-printing-kids-toys-design-challenge, which made me think of these guys http://zheng3.com/faire-play/. So much cool stuff you can do with modeling!

After many months of classes it is now time for
summer break. Which hopefully for you means more consistent blogging! For right now you get this, The lovely project I completed in Gnomon's online 3D Sculpting class. It was lots of fun!

More modeling updates!

I threw some rough textures on the architecture models to see if anything looks good.

Updates have been demanded!

I really am awful at frequent updates, I know, I'm sorry. I've been making progress in my modeling class though, and you deserve a picture for your patience!

I got some decent grass into CryEngine, and have been working on blocking in the architecture. The vegetation is a lot more fun for me, so I will have to go further down that rabbit hole later.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through a 3DsMax class to learn environment modeling. I've done this concept piece and will begin modeling the architecture from it in the next week or so.
